OUM - Prokofiev et Sibelius : élan symphonique

Création, énergie orchestrale et grands jalons du répertoire symphonique se rejoignent dans ce concert qui témoigne de la vitalité de la relève musicale à l’UdeM. Tout d’abord avec Song for Orchestra de Ruth Gipps, lauréate du Concours de composition, puis avec Sirui Li, lauréate du 2^e prix du Concours de concerto 2026. Elle brillera dans le très virtuose Troisième Concerto pour piano de Prokofiev. Quant à l’OUM, il démontrera toute sa sensibilité et sa maitrise avec la Symphonie n^o 3 de Sibelius.

Prokofiev and Sibelius: symphonic surge

Creation, orchestral energy and landmarks of the symphonic repertoire come together in a concert that demonstrates the vitality of emerging musicians at the UdeM. First of all, with Song for Orchestra by Ruth Gipps, prize-winner at the Composition Competition, and then with Sirui Li, second-prize winner at the 2026 Concerto Competition. She will shine in Prokofiev’s highly virtuosic Piano Concerto No. 3. The OUM, meanwhile, will be demonstrating all its sensitivity and mastery in Sibelius’s Symphony No. 3.
