Description
Titre: Tuning the properties of pi-conjugated polymers for organic electronic applications
Résumé: Résumé : Conjugated polymers have the potential to enable printable, flexible and lightweight electronic devices because they can be solution-processed into films with good charge transport and strong light absorption. To reach their full potential, however, their properties must be optimized for specific applications. In this presentation, I will discuss how we improved the properties of poly(3-alkylthiophenes) through side-chain engineering, and how we developed unique pi-conjugated polymers with low band gap by incorporating non-hydrocarbon elements such as boron and zinc.
