Concert hommage à l'album Basie Straight Ahead du Count Basie Orchestra

Fondé en 1935 par le célèbre pianiste et chef d’orchestre Count Basie, le Count Basie Orchestra demeure l’une des plus représentatives formations de l’histoire du jazz. À l’occasion de ce concert, le Big Band de l’UdeM rendra hommage à cet illustre orchestre en revisitant plusieurs pages de l’album Basie Straight Ahead. Une soirée entre swing et souvenirs où le passé résonne avec l’avenir.

Homage to Basie Straight Ahead

Founded in 1935 by the renowned pianist and bandleader Count Basie, the Count Basie Orchestra remains one of the most iconic groups in jazz history. On the occasion of this concert, the UdeM Big Band will pay tribute to that illustrious ensemble by revisiting some pages from the album Basie Straight Ahead. An evening somewhere between swing and memories, where the past resonates with the future.
