Christopher Yip (Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering, University of Toronto) est l’invité du professeur Suzanne Giasson, dans le cadre des séminaires de l’axe « Formulation et analyse du médicament » de la Faculté de pharmacie.  Ci-dessous, une courte biographie du conférencier :

Professor Yip is the Director of the Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Toronto. He is appointed as a Full Professor in both the Departments of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry, IBBME, Biochemistry and the Donnelly Centre for Cellular and Bimolecular Research. His research focus is in the area of single molecule biophysics with a particular emphasis on the development and application of novel single molecule imaging platforms for studying cellular and molecular dynamics. He has served on both NSERC and CIHR grant panels and is currently Vice Chair of the CIHR Institute of Genetics' Institute Advisory Board. He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Engineering Institute of Canada and held a Tier II Canada Research Chair from 2000-2010. He is on the Editorial Board of Biophysical Journal, Biophysica Biochemica Acta-Biomembranes, and Nanotechnology.
