Résumé

The observed mass-metallicity relation demonstrates the metallicity of a galaxy increases tends to increase with its mass. Various mechanisms have been proposed to explain this trend, including suppression of outflows by a strong halo potential or by inflowing material, as well as processes such as ram-stripping and tidal-stripping of metal-rich ejecta. Although tidal stripping may not be a key factor, it likely has a significant contribution in the depletion of metals from dwarf galaxies. We are performing simulations to quantify the strength of this effect. Producing realistic dwarf galaxies necessitates the use of suitable star-formation and feedback methods, which I will review.
