Johan Samuelsson, PhD, is a senior lecturerin history of education at Karlstads University. He is also the project manager for the development of the national exams inhistory in primary school. His doctoral thesis dealt with the narration and use of history in Cities. Today he is doing research on assessment in social studies and the use
of history in the society.

Martin Stolare works at the Centre for Social Science Education, Karlstads University. History Education in the Primary School is Stolare’s major field of interest, were he especially focuses on the history teacher and their work. Stolare has a background as a historian, as such he has done research within the fields of Social Movements and Education History.
