Titre: Single Molecule Analysis and Manipulation with Nanopipettes

Endroit: Pavillon Roger-Gaudry, Salle G-715

Hôte : Prof. Jean-François Masson

Résumé: Our beauty is in our differences. This is true down to the level of ndividual molecules that make up our body. I am working with biologists and physicians to understand the deepest difference between healthy cells and diseased cells.
In the first part of my talk I will present the application of nanopipettes combined with DNA origami as a new single-molecule bio-sensing platform. I will then discuss the combination of single molecule delivery with nanopipettes and scanning ion conductance microscopy (SICM) to enable the injection of individual molecules in living cells and its potential for the study of neurodegeneration.
