Understanding how snowflakes form can be done through simple observations of basic 'rules' that govern their growth, and the history of a snowflake can be told. While these beautiful gems are formed in and fall from the sky, they offer the casual observer a glimpse into the building blocks of nature. With no formal education in science, how accurately can one understand the nature of skyborne crystal formation?

This talk defines observational understanding in novel ways while revealing the unseen beauty of winter.

La conférence est pour tout public et le café est servi dès 11h30.
