Summary
The spatial perspective of crimes has been increasing in criminology literature in the past decade. However, most of the studies are from Western countries.
This presentation draws on several spatial analysis to investigate the dynamics of crime in Brazil. Findings indicate that situational (spatial/temporal) context not only matters but that they are crucial for crime prevention.
